Getting started

What Lumirai Link does, what you need before you begin, and your first few minutes in the app.

Lumirai Link is the clinic web hub so providers and staff can:

  • Sign in from any computer and see the rooms they watch
  • Search for a patient and assign them to a room
  • Choose which studies Viewer and Lightbox display
  • Include another patient when studies live under more than one ID
  • Lock or unlock a room’s Lightbox
  • Reopen studies from personal History
  • Review XR Orders, if your clinic uses this

Link does not replace your PACS or Joints. It sits in the middle: you room patients here, and Viewer and Lightbox show the studies you pick.

Before you begin

You will need:

  1. Your clinic’s Lumirai Link address, which IT provides — for example https://lumirai.example.com
  2. Your Link email and password, or access to email for a one-time password
  3. Network access to Link and your clinic’s imaging systems
  4. A modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox

You do not sign into Medstrat Joints to use Link. Opening a study from Link launches Joints in a new tab when you need it.

First launch checklist

  1. Open your clinic’s Link address in a browser.
  2. Sign in with email and password, or request a one-time password. See Logging in.
  3. On Home, if My Rooms is empty, choose Select Rooms and turn on the rooms you watch. See Selecting rooms.
  4. Open Rooms, then room a patient or open an occupied room. See Rooming a patient and Room detail.
