What Viewer does
Lumirai Viewer is the iPad app for watching clinic rooms and reviewing imaging. You can:
- Connect to your clinic’s Lumirai Link server and sign in
- Watch the rooms you selected and see who is assigned
- Review studies in Medstrat Joints without signing into Joints yourself — Link provisions the Joints account
- Search for a patient and assign them to a room
- Open up to two extra Open Studies viewers
- Draw on images (for conversation only — drawings are not saved to PACS)
- Lock or unlock a room’s Lightbox when that room has one
Viewer does not replace your PACS or Joints. It sits beside them so providers and staff can watch rooms and pick studies on iPad.
Before you begin
You will need:
- Viewer installed on an iPad, from your clinic’s IT team or Lumirai. On the Home Screen the app is named Viewer.
- Your clinic’s Lumirai Link hostname, which IT can provide
- Your Lumirai Link email and password, or a one-time password (OTP)
- Network access to Link and your clinic’s imaging systems
You do not sign into Medstrat Joints directly. After you connect and log in, Link provisions Joints for this iPad.
First launch checklist
- Open Viewer on the iPad.
- Choose Get Started, enter the hostname from IT, and choose Connect. See Connecting and logging in.
- Sign in with your email and password, or request a one-time password.
- If the sidebar says No Rooms Selected, open Settings and turn on the rooms you want to watch. See Rooms and Settings.
- Tap a room that has a patient and review their images. See Viewing studies.
- Lumirai Link — the clinic server this iPad connects to
- Viewer for Mac and Windows — the same clinic workflow on a computer
- Lumirai Lightbox — the large display in the exam room
