The bar along the bottom of the display: lock, card status, inking and studies controls, the patient chip, and the connection.
The status bar stays on screen whether Lightbox is locked or unlocked. It’s how you lock the view, check card and connection status, and open studies or inking.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Unlock view / Lock view | The lock icon. Tap to lock, or to unlock in demo mode. Right-click for Settings. |
| Card status | Short messages such as Authenticating…, Access granted, or Access denied |
| Clinician name | Shown after a successful unlock |
See Unlocking and Locking the screen.
These controls appear after unlock:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start inking / Close inking | Open or close the ink overlay |
| Show studies / Hide studies | Open or close the studies panel |
| Update | Apply a pending study change you previously dismissed |
Inking and the studies panel aren’t available while the screen is locked. Opening one closes the other.
When a patient is roomed, the chip shows:
Tap the chip while unlocked to show or hide studies. Lightbox can’t room a patient or include a match — do that in Lumirai Link or Lumirai Viewer.
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| Video download | Signage files caching, for example 2 / 5 |
| Room label | Room name from Link, or the optional override from Settings |
| Viewer ring | Busy means Viewer loading; steady means Viewer ready |
| Connection icon | Link status — see Connecting to Link |
While locked, you still see the lock icon, card flashes, the patient chip, the videos, and the connection. Inking, Show studies, and Update are hidden so the screensaver stays simple.
