Settings

Lumirai Link, rooms, schedules, Medstrat Joints, updates, and erasing local data.

Open Settings from the toolbar gear, the command bar, or ⌘ , / Ctrl ,.

After you sign in, Settings has five sections: Lumirai Link, Rooms, Room Scheduling, Medstrat Joints, and About. While you are logged out, only Lumirai Link and About are available, so you can change the server without a session.

  • Hostname and Use secure connection — the same fields as first launch
  • Saving a changed URL reconnects and signs you out of this server
  • Connection status, with Connect if Viewer is disconnected
  • Who is signed in, with Log in or Log out

Rooms

  • Turn on the exam rooms this computer watches — see Rooms
  • A shortcut into Room Scheduling
  • Collapse on select — hide the sidebar when you pick a room or patient tab that has a patient, the same way Viewer on iPad does. Vacant rooms stay open. You can also toggle this on the status bar.

Room Scheduling

Clinic leads can have Viewer select which rooms this computer watches on a clock.

  1. Choose Add Rule.
  2. Enter a Rule Name, for example Monday Morning Rooms.
  3. Leave Enabled on if the rule should run.
  4. Set Frequency — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly — then Time, and for weekly or monthly rules the days or day of the month.
  5. Turn on the rooms this rule should select. New rules start with the rooms you already watch.
  6. Choose Create Rule.

From the list of rules:

  • Click a rule to edit it
  • Run Now, in the More actions menu, runs one enabled rule immediately
  • Delete removes the rule after you confirm
  • Apply Rules runs the schedule now and reports which rule ran

Rules live on Lumirai Link. They appear here once Link finishes loading them.

Medstrat Joints

Link supplies the Joints account after you sign in. You do not enter Joints credentials in Viewer.

  • The account email, marked Ready or Shared
  • Shared means this Joints login belongs to a different user. Studies can display, but input is blocked — see Viewing studies
  • Study viewer display size: Better Layout fits more on screen at 80%, and Bigger Text uses larger text at 100%

If no account is available, the page shows Logged out and the viewer displays the Joints Account Required cover.

About

  • The app version
  • Automatic updates — download new versions in the background and install them when Viewer quits, so an open session is not interrupted
  • Check Now — look for an update. When one is ready, choose Restart Viewer, or quit and the update installs.
  • Store builds show that updates are managed by the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store
  • Links to Lumirai and the Privacy Policy
  • Erase local data, described below

Erase local data

Use this when wiping a computer, or when troubleshooting a stuck local state.

Erase signs you out of Lumirai Link, deletes the saved login and Joints cookies on this computer, and restarts Viewer. It does not remove History on Lumirai Link.
