Point Viewer at your clinic’s Lumirai Link, sign in, change the server, and log out.
Viewer uses your clinic’s Lumirai Link — the same staff login you use on Viewer for iPad. You are signing into Link, not a separate Viewer password. After you sign in, Link supplies the Medstrat Joints session the study viewer needs.
The first time you open Viewer — or after you erase local data — you see a branded start screen:
If the host cannot be reached, Viewer shows an error such as Unable to connect. Check the host name and try again. Fix the hostname or the network and choose Connect again. You only need the hostname once — Viewer remembers it on this computer.
When Link is reachable but nobody is signed in, you see the logged-out screen: the hostname, then Login and Settings. Logged out appears after you sign out during a session, and Connecting… or Reconnecting… appear while Link is unreachable.
If your clinic uses emailed codes:
Choose I already have my OTP if a code is already in your inbox, or Request new OTP if you need another. Log in with password returns you to the usual form, and Forgot password? opens your clinic’s password-reset page in a browser. You only need any of this when Viewer does not already have a valid Link session.
When you quit and reopen Viewer, it usually restores your session automatically. You may briefly see Reconnecting… on the splash, then land back in the main window without signing in again. If the saved session cannot reach Link, Viewer stays on the reconnecting splash rather than showing you as logged out.
Saving a new URL reconnects Viewer and signs you out of the previous server. Sign in again once the new host connects.
While you are logged out, Settings only includes Lumirai Link and About. Rooms, schedules, and Joints appear after you sign in.
Logging out ends the Link session in the app. On a shared workstation, always log out when you finish — see Privacy and shared computers.
If Link ends your session — a timeout or a server-side logout — Viewer returns you to the logged-out screen and shows Logged out. Sign in again when you are ready.
