First-time IT setup for a Lightbox kiosk: the settings passcode, the Lumirai Link display account, and room placement.
This page is for IT. Providers and staff don’t open Settings during a visit.
Lightbox has no staff login. The kiosk signs in to Lumirai Link with a display account, and a local settings passcode keeps configuration in IT’s hands.
Left-clicking the lock icon locks the view, or unlocks it in demo mode. It does not open Settings.
If the two values don’t match, Lightbox shows Codes do not match. If the passcode is too short, it shows Code must be at least 5 characters. Keep the passcode with your IT records — clinical staff should never need it.
Incorrect code. Please try again. means the passcode didn’t match. Choose Cancel to return to the display.
Enter the display account your clinic uses for this kiosk:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Hostname | Link server hostname, plus the port if your clinic uses one |
| TLS | On for a secure connection; off only if IT requires it |
| Username | Display username for this kiosk |
| Password | Display password |
The form shows a preview of the connection URL as you type. These are not a provider’s Joints credentials.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Location ID | Clinic location for this room |
| Room ID | The exam room this kiosk belongs to |
| Room name override (optional) | Label on the status bar, if you don’t want the name from Link |
| Demo mode | Unlock by tapping the lock icon, without a card |
Location ID and Room ID must match a Lightbox room in Lumirai Link. If they don’t, see Connecting to Link.
Leave Demo mode off in a live exam room. Use it only for setup, training, or a room without a card reader.
On a kiosk without a keyboard, use the device keyboard button in Settings.
