Open Studies

Up to two extra viewers on this iPad that are not tied to a clinic room.

Open Studies are extra viewers that are not tied to a clinic room. Use them when you want to look at someone without changing who is assigned to a room.

You can have at most two Open Studies tabs. Opening a third replaces the oldest one.

How a tab gets here

  • Patient search — choose Open in New Viewer, or tap the name
  • History — tap a row
  • A room card — swipe for New Viewer, or use Open in New Viewer in the toolbar

The sidebar shows an Open Studies heading and a card for each tab: patient name and study count.

Switch and close

Tap a card to bring that viewer forward.

To close a tab:

  • Swipe the card and choose Close, or
  • With that tab selected, choose Close Viewer in the toolbar

Close Viewer appears only for Open Studies. Rooms stay in the sidebar until you turn them off in Settings. Hide Viewer deselects the current tab and shows the sidebar; it does not close the tab.
