XR Orders

If your clinic uses this, XR Orders is a worklist of radiology orders — active at the top, completed below. Many clinics do not have it. If you do not see Orders in the header, skip this page.

Who sees it

Orders appears only when:

• Your clinic has XR Orders turned on, and
• Your role includes it

Home may also show a strip with the number of active orders. Click the strip or the Orders icon to open this page.

Filter by location

Use Filter by Location to narrow the list. You can pick more than one location. Clear the filter to see all locations you have access to.

Active orders

Each row shows date and time, name, Patient ID, date of birth, part and views, comments, area and room, procedure room, and status — for example New, Started, or Returned.

If your clinic lets you update orders:

• Start an order when you begin
• Return if you need to stop a started order
• Set the procedure room
• Complete a started order when the exam is done

Your started orders may be highlighted so you can find them quickly. Several orders for the same patient are grouped, for example 1 of 2. If there are no active orders, the list shows 0 orders.

Completed

Completed orders appear under Completed. You can Restore a completed order if it needs to go back to the active list.

Tips

• This list is separate from rooming. Completing an order does not assign or clear a room.
• After the exam is in PACS, open the room and refresh so Viewer and Lightbox pick up the new study.
• If Orders disappeared, your role or clinic setting may have changed — ask IT.
